The aspects of the formation and development of a methodological basis for assessing the competitiveness of a transport enterprise is considered in the article. A model for analyzing the competitiveness of enterprises in the transportation services market is developed. Based on this model, the level of competitiveness of a transport enterprise can be analyzed, and the strengths and weaknesses of its development can be identified. The rolling stock, the production and technical base, the price and quality of services, the possibility of new competitors’ penetration are considered the main indicators that shape the competitiveness of a transport enterprise. The selected factors of ensuring the competitiveness of an enterprise should be analyzed with the help of indicators that determine them. Keywords: transportation, transport enterprise, competitiveness,  logistics, transport.Розглянуто аспекти формування та розвитку методологічної бази для оцінки конкурентоспроможності транспортного підприємства. Виділено три  ключових фактори, які впливають на конкурентоспроможне функціонування підприємств що займаються транспортними перевезеннями: рухомий склад та виробничо-технічна база підприємства, ціна і якість послуг,  відсутність можливості проникнення нових конкурентів. Побудовано модель аналізу конкурентоспроможності підприємства на ринку транспортних послуг. За результатами аналізу за моделлю конкурентоспроможність підприємства запропоновано класифікувати як: високу, середню або низьку. Для оцінювання результатів розрахунку пропонується використовувати вербально-числову шкалу на основі шкали Харінгтона. Проведений аналіз конкурентоспроможності підприємств дозволяє окреслити перспективи у застосування запропонованої моделі.Ключові слова:  транспортні послуги, транспортне підприємство, конкурентоспроможність, логістика, транспорт

Prospects for implementation of corporate environmental responsibility concept: the eu experience for Ukraine

A comparative analysis of the main indicators of ecological sustainability in Ukraine and European countries has been done and the economic indicators of nature use in Ukraine have been studied. The purpose of this article is to study the experience and development peculiarities of corporate environmental responsibility, as well as the implementation of better European environmental practice in Ukrainian business. The research methodology concerns to the study of the Environmental Sustainability Index of Ukraine and European countries, as well as the Eco-innovations Index. The key criteria for corporate environmental responsibility has been identified based on the analysis results and a list of factors affecting the environmental responsibility of the enterprise has been formed. The conceptual framework of corporate environmental responsibility in Ukraine with application European principles and approaches for creating a favourable business environment has been developed

Peculiarities of the small businesses interaction to corporate sector of the economy

Метою статті є визначення ролі та місця малого бізнесу у розвитку корпоративного сектора економіки, а також дослідження можливості формування об'єднань малих підприємств із вагомими учасниками вітчизняних виробничо-господарських процесів. Основними завданнями дослідження є проведення аналізу динаміки частки кількості малих підприємств у загальній кількості підприємств корпоративного сектора економіки, визначення основних причин зростання підприємницької активності у сфері малого бізнесу; дослідження особливостей формування партнерських взаємозв’язків між суб’єктами малого і великого бізнесу у пріоритетних галузях економіки; визначення типологій та основних характеристик груп підприємств. Результати проведеного дослідження полягають у визначенні впливу підприємств малого бізнесу на формування галузевої структури корпоративного сектора економіки України, обґрунтуванні особливостей формування господарських об'єднань за участю підприємств малого бізнесу, визначенні типології та особливостей утворення груп підприємств різних категорій.Целью статьи является определение роли и места малого бизнеса в развитии корпоративного сектора экономики, а также исследование возможности формирования объединений малых предприятий с весомыми участниками отечественных производственно-хозяйственных процессов. Основными заданиями исследования является: проведение анализа динамики части количества малых предприятий в общем количестве предприятий корпоративного сектора экономики, определения основных причин роста предпринимательской активности в сфере малого бизнеса; исследование особенностей формирования партнерских взаимосвязей между субъектами малого и большого бизнеса в приоритетных отраслях экономики; определение типологий и основных характеристик групп предприятий. Результаты проведенного исследования заключаются в определении влияния предприятий малого бизнеса на формирование отраслевой структуры корпоративного сектора экономики Украины, обосновании особенностей формирования хозяйственных объединений при участии предприятий малого бизнеса, определении типологии и особенностей образования групп предприятий разных категорий. The main tasks of this study is: to analyze the dynamics of the small enterprises number in the total number of the corporate sector enterprises of the economy, identify them a in reasons for the growth of entrepreneurial activity in the small business study of the formation peculiarities partnership relationships between small and large businesses in priority sectors of the economy, the definition of typologies and the main characteristics of companies groups. The results of the study are to determine the influence of small businesses on formation of the corporate sector branch structure the Ukraine economy, the justification features of business associations formation, with the participation of small businesses, determining the types and characteristics of the enterprise groups formation in different categories

Modern state and ways of intensifying the development of small business enterprises in ternopil region

Підприємства малого бізнесу здатні суттєво впливати на формування економічного потенціалу як держави в цілому, так і окремих регіонів. Це робить необхідним з’ясування існуючого стану та основних тенденцій діяльності з метою виявлення напрямів активізації розвитку малого підприємництва. Результат аналізу процесу становлення малого бізнесу на сучасному етапі в Тернопільській області засвідчив, що поки що він не відіграє провідної ролі у розвитку економіки досліджуваного регіону. 2012 рік відзначався негативними тенденціями щодо ролі та стану розвитку малих підприємств. З метою активізації розвитку малого підприємництва на регіональному та місцевому рівнях доцільно вдосконалити механізм його кредитування, не допускати проявів корупції в органах державної влади та управління, покращити організаційне та інформаційне забезпечення реалізації проектів малого бізнесу.Small business enterprises are able to influence considerably on formation of economic potential of both a state as a whole and certain regions in particular. Thus, there is a necessity for studying the current state and principal tendencies of their activity in order to find out how to intensify small enterprise development. The analysis of modern tendencies of the small business development process in Ternopil region testified that at present it does not play a considerable role in economic development of the given region. It is proved that 2012 was marked to show negative tendencies regarding the role and state of small enterprises development. Thus, comparatively to the previous year this one was characterized by decrease as to the share of small enterprises registered as well as the number of employees of such enterprises among the total amount of working population of Ternopil region. The percentage of small business subjects in the total amount of products sold in Ternopil region was relatively insignificant, and during 2010–2012 years it demonstrated a stable decreasing tendency. At the end of 2012 the number of small enterprises per 10 thousand people of current population was 42 units that is a rather low figure comparatively to the world level. The analysis of small business enterprises’ activity in Ternopil region also requires ranging some districts using the business activity criterion. Thus, three types of regions have been singled out in the area using the statistical grouping methods by criteria of small enterprises’ production share in the total amount of products (work, services) sold in the region: those of low activity, of medium activity and of high activity. To intensify small business development on both regional and local levels the following things are to be done: its credit mechanism should be improved, the regional databases of prosperous investment proposals in small business area should be created, corruption in state authority institutions must be excluded, both organizational and informational facilities of small business projects implementation should be developed and some other necessary actions should be taken

Impact of COVID-19 pandemic on Ternopil region socio-economic development

Проведено комплексний аналіз впливу пандемії на соціально-економічний розвиток окремих сфер життєдіяльності Тернопільської області, визначено закономірності й домінуючі тенденції процесів регіонального розвитку, а також напрацьовано рекомендації щодо пом’якшення негативних наслідків цього впливу. Результати дослідження дали змогу проаналізувати короткотермінові зміни соціально-економічних показників розвитку Тернопільської області у динаміці першого кварталу 2020 року; визначити, які з галузей та сфер життєдіяльності регіону найбільше постраждали від впливу пандемії, а які, навпаки, отримали певний поштовх до розвитку. Дослідити особливості зміни демографічної складової розвитку регіону, а також визначити модифікацію обсягів та заборгованості з оплати праці найманих працівників. Автори провели порівняльний аналіз індексів промислової продукції регіону за основними видами діяльності у 2020 році, дослідили зміни споживчих цін, обсяги вантожообігу та пасажирообігу підприємств транспорту регіону, визначили основні тенденції зміни обсягів середньої заробітної плати в Тернопільській області у 2020 році. Щоб зрозуміти, наскільки постраждав регіональний бізнес від карантину, автори статті зібрали та опрацювали дані щодо закриття регіональних компаній у період з 12 березня до 30 квітня та структурували їх за видами діяльності. За результатами досліджень визначено, що Тернопільська область не є винятком в ситуації, коли карантинні заходи спричинили зростання цін, спад ключових індикаторів регіонального розвитку та зниження важливих економічних показників. Але найважливішим питанням на сьогодні залишається збереження стратегічного балансу між введенням необхідних обмежень, з одного боку, та одночасним підтриманням діяльності регіональних підприємств, з іншого. Адже після закінчення пандемії потрібно буде відновлювати нормальний ритм життєдіяльності соціальної та економічної сфер, реанімувати процеси, які є надзвичайно важливими для забезпечення регіонального розвитку. Тому у статті розроблено ряд рекомендацій для органів влади та місцевого самоврядування, які допоможуть подолати негативний вплив пандемії на соціально-економічний розвиток Тернопільської областіСomprehensive analysis of the pandemic impact on socio-economic development of certain spheres of living environment in Ternopil region is carried out, the patterns and dominant tendencies of regional development processes are identified, and recommendations for mitigating the negative impacts are developed in this paper. The results of the investigation made it possible to analyze short-term changes in socio-economic indicators of Ternopil region development in the dynamics of the first quarter of 2020; to determine which of the sectors and spheres of the region living environment were the most affected by pandemic, and which, on the contrary, received a stimulus to the development; to investigate the features of changes in the demographic component of the regional development, as well as to determine the modification of the volumes and arrears of payroll for employees. The authors carried out the comparative analysis of the regional industrial production indices by the main types of activity in 2020, investigated the changes in consumer prices, volumes of freight and passenger turnover in regional transport companies, determined the main tendencies in the average wage payments in Ternopil region in 2020. In order to understand how much the regional business suffered from quarantine, the authors of the article collected and processed data concerning the regional companies closing down from March 12 to April 30, and structured them by type of activity. According to the results of the investigation, it was determined that Ternopil region is not the exception in such situation when quarantine measures resulted in prices growth, decline of key indicators of regional development and decrease in important economic indicators. Although, how to maintain the strategic balance between the introduction of necessary restrictions, on the one hand, and the simultaneous support the regional enterprises activities, on the other hand is still an important problem at present. Indeed, after the end of the pandemic, it will be necessary to restore the normal rhythm of the living environment in social and economic spheres, to revive processes that are very important for ensuring regional development. Therefore, a number of recommendations for authorities and local governments contributing to overcome the negative pandemic impact the socio-economic development of Ternopil region are worked out in this pape
